As we have mentioned several times already, concentration is not something you have to maintain throughout the entire meditation.
It is often more difficult when you want to meditate immediately after a stressful day. It may help to drink a cup of tea first or follow another small ritual that settles you a little. Doomscrolling or reading the news are not suitable for this. It should be something that brings you a little more into the present moment.
It can also help to begin with a short meditation of a few minutes and do a longer one after a break. This can vary from day to day as well.
Here too, it is important not to judge your own concentration. When you notice that your attention has wandered, simply return gently to the present moment and your anchor.1
