Sometimes you have five minutes. Sometimes you do not know how long you want to sit. Mowditate gives you room for both.
Set a duration or leave it open
Choose a duration when you have a fixed amount of time for meditation. In open-ended mode, you meditate without a time limit and finish the session yourself. No account is needed.
Finish early and keep the time
Set a 20-minute timer but want to finish after eight minutes? When you stop early, you can save the time you have already meditated, continue the session or discard it. The timer pauses while you decide. Saving is available after at least one minute; writing the session to Apple Health requires your permission.
A gong when you want one
A starting gong can mark the beginning. Interval gongs can provide a gentle reminder during the session. On Apple Watch, you can also feel the intervals through haptics.
Silence, your own audio or Apple Music
Use the timer in silence, select your own audio files or use Apple Music. That also lets you bring a guided meditation from your files into a session. Apple Music depends on the requirements and availability of the relevant Apple service.
Start a short session
Choose the timer, set a duration or select open-ended mode, and adjust the gongs if you wish. Start when you are ready. There is nothing special you need to achieve.
Keep a record of your practice
With your permission, Mowditate can save mindful minutes to Apple Health. History, streaks and statistics give you a view of your practice. Guided content in Mowditate+ complements the free timer.
The timer stays at the centre
Mowditate is developed to keep the timer simple and directly accessible. Additional exercises, courses and badges are integrated so they do not complicate access to the timer or distract you during meditation. You choose which of them you want to use.
Keep track of your practice
History and statistics show your previous sessions. Badges mark small milestones, such as seven days in a row or a completed course. You do not have to collect them: how long or how often you meditate is not a measure of how well you meditate.
Example badges
7 Days in a RowAfter seven consecutive days, you earn the badge and unlock the Mow app icon.
